This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.

1. Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • Account means a unique account created for You to access our Service or parts of our Service. (Note: REDACT FACE does not use accounts).
  • Application means the software program provided by the Company downloaded by You on any electronic device, named REDACT FACE.
  • Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our" in this Agreement) refers to REDACT FACE.
  • Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cellphone or a digital tablet.
  • Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
  • Service refers to the Application.
  • Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company.
  • Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself.
  • You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

2. Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Zero Data Collection

REDACT FACE operates strictly on a Zero Data Collection model. While using Our Service, We do not ask You to provide Us with any personally identifiable information, account details, email addresses, or bank account information.

Information Collected while Using the Application

While using Our Application, in order to provide features of Our Application, We may request access to:

  • Pictures and other information from your Device's camera and photo library

Crucially, we use this information exclusively on-device to provide features of Our Service. None of this information, including video data, facial embeddings, features, or identification data, is ever uploaded, transmitted over the network, or stored on the Company's or any Service Provider's servers. All AI, Vision, and Machine Learning calculations happen locally on your device.

You can enable or disable access to this information at any time, through Your Device settings.

Usage Data

We do not collect Usage Data. We do not track Your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), unique device identifiers, or other diagnostic data.

Information from Third-Party Social Media Services

We do not offer integration with Third-Party Social Media Services (like Google, Facebook, or Twitter) for account creation or logging in.

3. Use and Sharing of Your Personal Data

Because we do not collect any Personal Data, we do not use or share Personal Data for any purposes, including:

  • We do not monitor usage of our Service.
  • We do not contact You with marketing, news, or special offers.
  • We do not share any data with Service Providers, Affiliates, Business Partners, or other users.

4. User-in-the-Loop Control

You are always in complete control. While our AI automates the detection and tracking processes locally, the final decision to "Mask" or "Keep" any individual remains entirely manual and subject to your final review. We do not apply any masks without your direct instruction.

5. Retention and Transfer of Your Personal Data

Because REDACT FACE does not collect or store any Personal Data off-device, there is no data to retain on our servers, nor is there any data to transfer across state, province, or country borders.

6. Disclosure of Your Personal Data

In the event of Business Transactions (merger, acquisition, asset sale) or if required by Law Enforcement or other legal requirements, the Company cannot disclose Your Personal Data because we do not collect or possess it.

7. Security of Your Personal Data

The security of your media is guaranteed by Apple's on-device sandboxing and security protocols. Since we do not transmit or store your data on external servers, the risk of data breaches via the Internet through our Service is eliminated.

8. Detailed Information on the Processing of Your Personal Data (Third-Party Services)

Unlike many other services, REDACT FACE strictly avoids third-party tracking:

  • Analytics: We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, Appsflyer, or any other analytics providers.
  • Advertising: We do not use AdMob, Facebook Audience Network, or any other ad networks to show advertisements.
  • Payments: All purchases within the Service are handled exclusively through Apple Store In-App Payments. We do not store or collect Your payment card details; this is handled securely by Apple.
  • Miscellaneous: We do not use services like invisible reCAPTCHA.

9. California Privacy Rights

California's Shine the Light Law

Under California Civil Code Section 1798, California residents can request information about sharing their Personal Data with third parties for direct marketing purposes. As we do not collect or share any Personal Data, no such sharing occurs.

California Privacy Rights for Minor Users

California Business and Professions Code section 22581 allows California residents under 18 to request removal of publicly posted content. REDACT FACE does not feature public posting or profiles, rendering this inapplicable.

10. Links to Other Websites

Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Us. If You click on a third party link, You will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every site You visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
