1. Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

• Account means a unique account created for You to access our Service or parts of our Service. (Note: Redact Face does not use accounts).
• Application means the software program provided by the Company downloaded by You on any electronic device, named Redact Face.
• Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our" in this Agreement) refers to Redact Face.
• Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cellphone or a digital tablet.
• Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
• Service refers to the Application.
• Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company.
• Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself.
• You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

2. Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

No Account or Media Collection

Redact Face does not require an account and does not ask You to provide a name, email address, password, bank account information, or payment-card details in the Application.

Information Collected while Using the Application

While using Our Application, in order to provide features of Our Application, We may request access to:

• Pictures and other information from your Device's camera and photo library

Crucially, we use this information exclusively on-device to provide features of Our Service. None of this information, including video data, facial embeddings, features, or identification data, is ever uploaded, transmitted over the network, or stored on the Company's or any Service Provider's servers. All AI, Vision, and Machine Learning calculations happen locally on your device.

You can enable or disable access to this information at any time, through Your Device settings.

Purchase and Entitlement Data

Redact Face uses Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat to present Pro plans, verify purchases, unlock subscription or lifetime entitlements, and restore purchases. When these features are used, Apple and RevenueCat process purchase history such as product identifiers, transaction or receipt status, subscription and entitlement status, and an anonymous app user identifier.

This purchase data is used for app functionality, fraud prevention, customer support, and aggregate subscription analytics. Redact Face does not create customer accounts or associate RevenueCat's anonymous app user identifier with a name, email address, or other account identity. Purchase data is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Videos, photos, detected faces, facial embeddings, mask selections, projects, and exported media are never sent to Apple or RevenueCat by Redact Face.

Usage Data

We do not use general-purpose product analytics, advertising analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs to monitor how You edit videos. RevenueCat processes purchase and entitlement events as described above and provides aggregate subscription analytics.

Information from Third-Party Social Media Services

We do not offer integration with Third-Party Social Media Services (like Google, Facebook, or Twitter) for account creation or logging in.

3. Use and Sharing of Your Personal Data

Redact Face limits off-device processing to the purchase and entitlement data needed for its paid features:

• Apple processes App Store purchases, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds.
• RevenueCat validates purchase status, manages Pro entitlements and restoration, prevents purchase fraud, supports purchase troubleshooting, and provides aggregate subscription analytics.
• We do not sell Personal Data or share it for targeted advertising or cross-app tracking.
• We do not contact You with marketing, news, or special offers.

4. User-in-the-Loop Control

You are always in complete control. While our AI automates the detection and tracking processes locally, the final decision to "Mask" or "Keep" any individual remains entirely manual and subject to your final review. We do not apply any masks without your direct instruction.

5. Retention and Transfer of Your Personal Data

The Company does not independently operate a server that stores Your videos, face data, projects, or purchase records. Apple and RevenueCat retain and process purchase and entitlement data according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations, which may involve processing in other countries. See Apple's Privacy Policy and RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.

6. Disclosure of Your Personal Data

The Company does not possess Your videos, photos, face data, or projects. Apple or RevenueCat may disclose purchase and entitlement data when required by law or as described in their respective privacy policies.

7. Security of Your Personal Data

Your media and face-processing data remain within the Application's on-device storage and Apple's platform protections. Purchase and entitlement communications use Apple and RevenueCat services. No security method is absolute, but limiting media processing and storage to Your Device reduces exposure to remote-service risks.

8. Detailed Information on the Processing of Your Personal Data (Third-Party Services)

Redact Face uses a limited set of third-party services:

• Product analytics and diagnostics: We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, Appsflyer, or a third-party crash-reporting service to monitor video editing. RevenueCat provides aggregate subscription analytics based on purchase data.
• Advertising: We do not use AdMob, Facebook Audience Network, or any other ad networks to show advertisements.
• Payments and entitlements: Apple handles billing and payment-card details. RevenueCat validates purchase history and manages Pro entitlements and restoration. RevenueCat does not receive Your videos, photos, face data, or facial embeddings from Redact Face.
• Miscellaneous: We do not use services like invisible reCAPTCHA.

9. California Privacy Rights

California's Shine the Light Law

Under California Civil Code Section 1798, California residents can request information about sharing their Personal Data with third parties for direct marketing purposes. Redact Face does not sell Personal Data or share it with third parties for direct marketing or cross-context behavioral advertising.

California Privacy Rights for Minor Users

California Business and Professions Code section 22581 allows California residents under 18 to request removal of publicly posted content. Redact Face does not feature public posting or profiles, rendering this inapplicable.

10. Links to Other Websites

Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Us. If You click on a third party link, You will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every site You visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
